This 5-day Real Local Life Experience of Southern Vietnam tour is designed to show you the variety of Vietnamese food available in the southern region while bringing you up close to everyday activities and amiable locals. You’ll get a taste of Vietnamese cuisine from the bustling capital to the laid-back delta.
Our guide will meet you at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, and take you to the hotel located in the downtown area. You can explore the city center on your own to get a feel for this vibrant, young city after completing the check-in process.
At 6:00 PM, drivers will pick you up at the hotel. You’ll head to Café to “watch the world go by” and have an appetizer and cocktail (all included) before visiting your preferred neighborhood restaurant. Travelers see Saigon’s nightlife just like the locals do.
The tour will begin with a ride through a portion of Chinatown before traveling through crowded streets and alleys to District 4, where visitors can observe local nightlife and savor street food and cold beverages in areas uninhabited by tourists.
After departing from district 4 and heading toward district 3, the tour visits downtown district 1 to see the sites before heading to Banh Xeo, a specialty of Saigon, and enjoying southern cuisine with the people.
Next, the tour will go to a secret coffee shop with a Vietnamese flair where guests may experience live Vietnamese music like a local. The trip will then take attendees to a bustling music venue where they may have cocktails while listening to live music.
Return to your lodging by 10 p.m.
In Ho Chi Minh City, spend the night.
You will be driven to the Cu Chi Tunnels area via the 22 highway for an hour starting at 9:00 AM from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
When we get there, we switch to a sidecar and tour the region where the actual tunnels are still below ground. Spend around 1.5 hours exploring the Cu Chi tunnel system to learn about air holes, backwalks, sandals, bobby traps, secret entrances, and crawls within actual tunnels.
Following that, you will have the opportunity to learn about Southern Vietnamese cuisine by cooking for yourself under the guidance of our chef and enjoy lunch that you prepared on the rubber plantation.
Upon completion of the excursion, you will be returned to your hotel.
