Fabulous Mekong Trip 2D1N

Morning: Our guide will come to your hotel to collect you up following breakfast. We’re going to leave the rush and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City behind today and travel to the remote Mekong Delta. The event will begin with a visit to the town’s Vinh Long Market. This is the ideal option for you to capture images of tropical fruits, vegetables, snakes, rice-field rodents, shrimp, prawns, crabs, and more.

The brick kilns will be your next trip, where you can observe how the locals fashion gorgeous clay potteries. The floating village will be traversed by our boat. We are going to learn the art of Mekong River catfish farming. A nearby home may serve an optional meal.

After that, have some tea and take in the traditional music.

Check-in at the homestay on An Binh Island, Ut Trinh (or another homestay). Take a stroll through the village in the afternoon to visit the local workshops where you can watch people making pop-rice, pop-corn, rice paper, coconut candies, and other items.

Return to the homestay to have a shower and prepare some meals with the hosts. We have dinner and spend the night in a nearby home.

Then, we’ll travel to Tan Phong Island to take a stroll or a bike ride along the village trails. Seeing the local homes, farms, and everyday life will be breathtaking.

• We will get to witness farmers harvesting fruits along the ancient routes in the Mekong Delta, where we can also observe how they weave rice net for spring rolls, sew coconut leaves for cottage roofs, and most importantly, observe how they wave dried water hyacinth to create a variety of goods like baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes, and more.
• Savor the tranquil moment as the rowing boat will transport you on tiny canals, farther into the countryside. Seeing the traditional homes constructed of wood and palm tree leaves, as well as the local farmers’ activities and the chance to interact with them and observe how they catch fish, is fascinating. At Cai Be town, the cruise will come to an end.

After the trip, we will get back to Ho Chi Minh City. Lunch at a local restaurant is on your way.
